School Testimonies about Mindscape – Head of Pastoral Care
“Andrew assessed, planned and worked successfully with one of our students who had extremely difficult emotionally driven behaviours which prevented the student from engaging in both classroom learning and peer interaction.
It became apparent quickly that the art therapy work enabled our student to express the pain confusion and distress in these sessions. He was then able to engage with his ‘safe’ family household and his close peers. The art therapy developed skills in our student enabling him to manage his emotions more effectively so that he could engage in learning again. A very positive piece of work spread over 12 months.
I would highly recommend this to anyone. “

“We have since such a positive transformation in our son since working with Andrew. He was anxious, aggressive and struggled to understand or control his emotions. He is now much happier in himself and able to talk to us about his emotions. We can’t recommend him highly enough.”
Father from Poole, Dorset.
“Andrew’s counselling was able to relate straight to….(my child.) and provide activities and methods that he enjoyed, whilst helping him”
Mother from Bournemouth. Dorset.
“Andrew ran 13 therapy sessions with ……….. which had an extremely positive effect on his wellbeing. During the one to one sessions, Andrew built up a strong rapport with ………. who felt able to confide in him.
This helps him escape from memories of trauma, the fast-paced gaming world or stresses of school which can sometimes be overwhelming and leads to frustration.
Having someone else to confide in and share a joke within a nonjudgemental environment, , definitely helped ……….. to reduce his anxiety and facial tick and nervous cough condition.
Their chats were interspersed with interesting art challenges where they worked with their hands to make a craft like a leather pouch which really reawakened ………. love of art and boosted his self-esteem..
I would definitely recommend Andrew’s work as his skill and expertise as a counsellor has had a very beneficial impact on ”””””s mental health.”
